The professional relationships that an early career teacher builds when they first enter the profession are key determinants for their continued success and confidence as Educators. The Navigating the First Years Early Career and Mentor Teacher Program provides a unique space for this relationship to grow and flourish, quarantining important time within the busyness of the school year.

Over three days in terms 2 and 3, early career teachers and their mentors engage in practice-focused mentoring and the building of a reciprocal and dialogical relationship, to support early career teachers cope with the demands of the job, build morale and increase their knowledge.

  • Day 2: Establishing positive and orderly classrooms (Bill Hansberry)
