Designed for school leaders, teachers, and education support staff, the session will unpack AITSL’s Guidelines and provide opportunities for dialogue and networking across the sector.

Program Overview: This 2 hour online professional learning session is designed to help school leaders, teachers, and education support staff maximise the contribution of teaching assistants. Drawing on AITSL’s Guidelines for the Optimal Deployment of Teaching Assistants in Australian Schools, participants will engage with evidence-informed strategies that promote effective collaboration, role clarity, and purposeful support for learners.

Through interactive discussion and shared reflection, participants will examine current practices, explore practical tools, and identify opportunities to strengthen team approaches within their own school contexts. Participants will also connect with peers from across the sector, fostering professional networks and shared understanding of how to strengthen high impact teams.
