School Avoidance and Non-attendance Workshop

Description:
As part of the Supporting students at risk of school avoidance and non-attendance: An implementation trial of Pathways2Participation for South Australian Independent schools’ project, which has been funded through a gift from Eynesbury Senior College, a workshop will be held for all member schools on strategies to address non-attendance.
The workshop will explore practical and evidence-based strategies that schools can implement to improve school attendance. Featuring current research, it will discuss how a multi-dimensional Multi-Tiered Systems of Support framework can be used to target intervention at the point of need. Information about a new research project focusing on school attendance being run in partnership with AISSA will also be shared.
