This workshop is designed specifically for teachers and educators who are inspired to learn more about reconciliation. The workshop offers strategies to make authentic connections between Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories and cultures and the ACARA curriculum, the EYLF and the AITSL Professional standards. You will be provided with a range of resources to support you embed reconciliation into staff professional learning and to link Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures and perspectives into the curriculum in meaningful ways.

As educators, we are crucial in supporting young Australians appreciate the achievements of our First Nations Peoples and helping them understand that reconciliation is an important part of our journey as individuals, as a community and as a nation. As part of the morning, you will hear from guest speakers who will share transformative school-based practices in reconciliation. Through this professional learning, you will have the opportunity to think more deeply about what reconciliation means to you and consider how you can implement change within your context.

This session will be led by Reconciliation South Australia and supported by guest speakers from schools.
