New to the Board? Join our online session to discover the key principles of effective governance and accelerate your impact as a new board member.

David Spear is a Partner and Director of VUCA, a boutique advisory firm which helps organisations deal with critical challenges – particularly volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. David Spear was previously the State Director of the Australian Institute of Company Directors SA/NT and is a 2013 alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School Governance Program.

This workshop is designed for those who are new to the school board. It will focus on good governance practices including:

  • the particular responsibilities for school board members
  • roles and responsibilities including legal, compliance and fiduciary responsibilities and
  • what it means to be an effective board member regarding participation, relationships, confidentiality and meeting procedures.

Audience: New School Board members.
