Description:

The OSHC Educators’ Network is structured for OSHC leaders and educators from our member schools to engage collaboratively in ways which invigorate and enrich practice. It provides a forum for provocation and discussion and facilitates a community of practice approach to ongoing professional learning. Implementing the My Time Our Place Framework and the National Quality Standard, participants will have the opportunity to visit and tour OSHC services and engage in rich group discussions relating to current research on educational theories and practices, focused topics and other questions and issues raised.

Focus for this event: Staff Wellbeing

We will be discussing and exploring staff wellbeing in the context of OSHC settings with particular attention to:

  • Developing a more intentional focus on staff wellbeing in OSHC settings.
  • Considering what staff wellbeing means in the context of your service.
  • Developing reflective questions that support educator wellbeing in everyday practices.
  • Exploring effective practices and resources to improve how wellbeing is valued and supported within individual services

Participants will engage in conversations with colleagues in relation to these four key areas to evaluate the effectiveness of current practices in their OSHC services. They will explore and consider other approaches and strategies for the ongoing development of staff wellbeing in their OSHC learning communities.
