This workshop is designed for those who are new to School Board work. It will focus on good governance practices including:

  • particular responsibilities for School Board members
  • roles and responsibilities including legal, compliance and fiduciary responsibilities
  • what it means to be an effective School Board member regarding participation, relationships, confidentiality and meeting procedures.

 

Presented by David Spear, Director, VUCA

VUCA is a boutique advisory firm which helps organisations deal with critical challenges – particularly volatility, uncertainty, complexity and ambiguity. David Spear was previously the State Director of the Australian Institute of Company Directors SA/NT and is a 2013 alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School Governance Program.
