What Does It Mean to be on a Board? A Workshop for New Board Members

This workshop is designed for those who are new to School Board work. It will focus on good governance practices including:

  • particular responsibilities for School Board members
  • roles and responsibilities including legal, compliance and fiduciary responsibilities
  • what it means to be an effective School Board member regarding participation, relationships, confidentiality and meeting procedures.

David Spear was previously the State Director of the Australian Institute of Company Directors SA/NT and is a 2013 alumnus of the prestigious Harvard Business School Governance Program.

Registration for this workshop will include a fee of $50.00 plus GST per participant. This fee is invoiced after the first session and is payable even if you do not attend on the day as the AISSA will still incur costs. If notice of cancellation is received before 6 June 2020 the fee will be waived.
