Cyber Risks and Rewards: The Challenges and Opportunities for Education

17th September, 2021 @ 8:30 am

Date/Time:

17/09/2021 - 8:30 am - 12:00 pm

Description:

Last year, Education faced the highest level of ransomware attacks, with 44% of organisations hit.  For educational institutions, the financial impact of a ransomware attack in 2020 was crippling. The total bill was on average AU$3.64 million – the highest across all sectors surveyed, and 48% above the global average.

The risks are high, but how can schools manage risk while taking advantage of the incredible power for good that the digital world presents for the citizens of the future who they are educating right now?

This seminar will provide the fundamental information and understanding needed to actively engage with the rapidly evolving dimension of cyber in schools, in both institutional security and student wellbeing.  Please see the full program for further details.
