Description:
Brightpath enables teachers to make informed and reliable professional assessment judgements of their students’ writing through comparison against a set of calibrated exemplars and descriptors.
The accompanying software records the results of assessments and provides immediate reporting. The data and information is then available assist teachers to plan effectively for all students in their classes.
Brightpath: Next Steps creates the opportunity to further develop and nurture students’ writing skills through literature and a focus on language, storytelling, character and the creative process.
This professional learning provides learning leaders who have implemented Brightpath within their school with the unique opportunity to work with fellow professionals to improve learners’ writing and reading.
Course materials:
- 13 resource booklets
- 6 physical copies of texts
- 3 case studies
- 3 work booklets
- USB comprising all course content in a digital format including PowerPoints and presenter notes.
After completing this train-the-trainer course, participants can present and share the materials within their school.
Schools are recommended to register two Learning Leaders to support the implementation of Brightpath: Next Steps within and across their school.
