New Be You Resources – Exclusive AISSA Leaders Online Launch Event: Supporting Primary Schools to Respond to Distress & Self-Harm and Plan for Responding to Sudden Death, including Suicide
19th October, 2026 @ 2:00 pm
Date/Time:
19/10/2026 - 2:00 pm - 4:30 pm
Description:
This important online session is offered exclusively to AISSA primary school leaders (or their representatives) and is supported by AISSA Chief Executive, Anne Dunstan.
Join the Be You team as they launch their new resources designed to support AISSA primary schools to respond to distress & self-harm and plan for Responding to Sudden Death (including Suicide).
This practical workshop will introduce school leaders to the Be You national guide, Responding to distress, including self-harm: a guide for Australian primary schools, and explore how to confidently use the resources and adapt them to meet their individual school contexts. The guide is designed to complement existing state, territory, and school-based policies and processes, while strengthening the mental health supports already in place.
This session will also include a leadership briefing on Be You’s new Responding to Sudden Death in Primary Schools service, helping school leaders consider proactive planning as part of their broader wellbeing and response work.
This is an opportunity not to be missed. Schools are welcome to send more than one representative to attend.
Delivery mode: 1 x online session.
