Description:
What if your students knew how to learn, not just what to learn?
Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) and metacognition are powerful mechanisms that equip students to plan, monitor and evaluate their own learning, improving achievement, motivation and independence across every subject.
Is your school ready to unlock the power of SRL and metacognition, and amplify teacher impact and student learner agency?
Join Dr Shyam Barr for a re-imagined, two-day masterclass designed for school leaders, teachers and their teams who want practical research informed strategies that shift the learning culture.
Over two days you will
- learn how to teach SRL using cognitive science and educational research
- implement evidence-based strategies with expert guidance
- build shared language, tools, and confidence to inform whole-school change.
Discover how to embed SRL and metacognition across classrooms, sustain the practice through leadership, and see the difference when learners become agents of their own success.
This new format also offers the opportunity to co-design your school’s next steps, with optional bespoke coaching and online learning to support long-term implementation.
Your commitment: 14 contact hours plus any required reading (with the option of further online sessions as designed by you).
AITSL Professional Standards for Teachers: Focus areas 1.2, 3.5, 4.1, 5.2 and 6.4.
