PLEASE NOTE: These events are for teachers and staff of Independent Schools of South Australia only unless otherwise indicated on the workshop flyer.  Persons who register for events without providing a valid Independent School email address will be contacted for verification prior to their registration being confirmed.

RESOURCE FEES:  Registration for some events will incur a fee to help cover the cost of resources provided.  This fee is invoiced after the event and is payable even if you do not attend on the day as the AISSA will still incur costs. If notice of cancellation is received before the event's RSVP cut-off date the resource fee will be waived.  All requests for cancellation must be via email and directed to the Event Organiser.

How to Access and Register for Events

Use the search criteria below to find Events that you are interested in attending.  You can search by date range, title or by category.  For example, if you wish to search for just numeracy events, select the category Numeracy from the drop down menu and press submit.

The table below displays:

TITLE The title of the event. If you click on the title a full description of the event will be displayed.
DATES The date(s) on which the event will be run.  If the event is over multiple days when you register your registration is for all dates that are associated.
TIME Start and finish time.
VENUE Where the event is.  Please note that AISSA now has two offices, both on Unley Road.

Collection Notice

The AISSA/SA Independent Schools Block Grant Authority (“the Organisations”) collect personal information, including sensitive information, about students, school employees, school governors and others who interact with the Organisations. This may be in writing or in the course of conversations.

The primary purpose of collecting this information is to enable the Organisations to provide services to students, schools or others. Some of the information collected is to satisfy the Organisations’ legal obligations.

The Organisations may, from time to time, disclose personal information to others for advisory, administrative, legal or educational purposes. Such disclosures will only be in relation to the primary purpose of collection, or for secondary purpose, related to the primary purpose, and which the individual would reasonably expect. If the Organisations do not receive the information referred to above, it may not be able to provide the relevant service to the school, student, school employee or others.

The Organisations occasionally use contractors to assist the Organisations in its functions and discloses relevant personal information to these contractors to enable them to meet their obligations.

The Organisations may store personal information in the ‘cloud’ which may mean that it resides on servers which are situated outside of the Organisations.

The Organisations’ Privacy Policy sets out how a person may seek access to personal information collected about them. However, there will be occasions when access is denied. Such occasions would include where access would have an unreasonable impact on the privacy of others or where access may result in a breach of confidence.

The Organisations’ Privacy Policy also sets out how you may register a complaint about a breach of privacy and how the Organisations will deal with such a complaint.

Any questions in relation to the collection, use and disclosure and retention of personal information collected by the Organisations may be directed to, or a copy of the Organisations’ Privacy Policy may be obtained from the AISSA Chief Executive.
