27th October, 2020 @ 1:00 pm
27/10/2020 - 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm
Due to the popularity of this event and current COVID-19 restrictions, we have had to cap this event to no more than two staff members attending from each member school.
Psychologist, Angela Davis, will deliver a series of four, two-hour workshops for School Support Officers with the aim of supporting staff to:
- view behaviour within the context of its function within the environment
- complete a behavioural analysis (observe, record and analyse)
- develop a positive ‘student centred’ approach to increasing the desired behaviours and managing problematic behaviour
- increase knowledge of resources for future practice.
Angela Davis has extensive experience covering the early childhood sector, within school settings and has managed an adolescent facility for adolescents with mental health issues. Angela has worked across the health and disability, education and welfare sectors and has interests in the areas of attachment disorder, autism and severe behavioural issues. She currently works in private practice and is appointed to the South Australian Child Death and Serious Injury Review Committee and the Ethics Committee of the Australian Psychological Society.
Registration for this four-day series will incur a fee of $50.00 plus GST per participant. Participants are required to register for all sessions in the series and may not attend single days:
School Support Officers – Junior Primary to Secondary.
