Description:

The OSHC Educators’ Network is structured for OSHC leaders and educators from AISSA member schools to engage collaboratively in ways which invigorate and enrich practice. It provides a forum for provocation and discussion and facilitates a community of practice approach to ongoing professional learning.

Implementing the My Time Our Place Framework and the National Quality Standard, participants will have the opportunity to engage in rich group discussions relating to current research on educational theories and practices, focused topics and other questions and issues raised.

Key areas for discussion and debate include:

• play as a context for learning
• critical reflection as a way to challenge traditional ways of viewing how children learn
• Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) as a collaborative tool for continuous improvement and
• professional judgements as central to effective decision making.

Participants should register for each meeting they would like to attend. 2023 meeting dates:

21 February, 10.00am – 12.00pm (venue is Pedare Christian College)
23 May, 10.00am – 12.00pm
15 August, 10.00am – 12.00pm
31 October, 10.00am – 12.00pm
