Date/Time:
25/05/2021 - 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
Description:
The OSHC Educators’ Network is structured for OSHC leaders and educators from our member schools to engage collaboratively in ways which invigorate and enrich practice. It provides a forum for provocation and discussion and facilitates a community of practice approach to ongoing professional learning. Implementing the My Time Our Place Framework and the National Quality Standard, participants will have the opportunity to visit and tour OSHC services and engage in rich group discussions relating to current research on educational theories and practices, focused topics and other questions and issues raised.
Term 2 learning focus: Developing children’s agency in the natural world
Presenter: Maria Taylor (Manager of Education, Nature Play SA)
This session will explore the many ways OSHC outdoor environments promote and enable children to have influence and impact on one’s world. We will consider and investigate what already exists in each unique OSHC setting including loose parts for children to authentically connect with their environment to build a more sustainable future.
Term 2 follow up session: 23/06/2021 10:00 am – 12:00 pm
Target audience: OSHC Providers, Directors and Educators
