12th June, 2020 @ 9:00 am
12/06/2020 - 9:00 am - 11:00 am
This session will be offered via Zoom and registered attendees will be sent an access link closer to the event. The session will be redesigned and adjusted to support teachers depending on any changes to the process which may result from the impact of COVID-19 on schools.
The national data collection on students with disability acknowledges the work already undertaken in schools to support students with disability. It assists schools to identify and to support students with disability so they can access and participate in education on the same basis as their peers.
This workshop series will assist Inclusive Education Coordinators and their teams, including school leaders, to develop a sound understanding of the legal obligations and levels of educational adjustment and, therefore, to improve the quality and consistent application of definitions under the NCCD model.
These workshops will be held over three terms and are designed for key staff members responsible for the data collection. Participants will build upon their working knowledge of the NCCD model and consider their role in supporting related whole school practice.
There is no fee to attend these sessions.
