The 2024 AISSA Governance Conference is an exciting opportunity for chairs of boards, school leaders, board members and decision makers in our schools to come together to unravel the complexities of interpersonal relationships, communication and collaboration at the governance level.

We invite you to work with Rob Newman, organisational psychologist, leadership coach, board advisor, Australian Institute of Company Directors faculty member and leader of the Boardroom Mastery program, in a highly interactive, dynamic workshop setting. Participants will learn that human dynamics in the board room are not just about personal interactions, they are the catalysts for innovation, strategic thinking and the foundation for the creation of a positive boardroom and organisational culture.

The conference will also engage with a team of principals and board chairs to explore the various facets of the Chair and Principal relationship and its impact on the school’s governance, leadership, and success.

Given this significant set of responsibilities, we strongly encourage entire school boards to attend to collaborate, learn and grow together. In addition, school leadership teams and aspiring leaders are also welcome to enhance their understanding of effective leadership and strategic governance.
