Description:

The Brookings Institution (Brookings) is a not-for-profit organisation based in Washington, DC which conducts independent research on a range of social issues.

In 2020, the Center for Universal Education (CUE) at Brookings undertook a worldwide research project regarding family engagement in education, including surveying parents in regard to their attitude towards their child’s schooling experience.

As a result of the research project, CUE launched Collaborating to Transform and Improve Education Systems; a Playbook for Family-School Engagement.

At the session on 8 March, representatives from CUE will present some of the key findings of the project, including an overview of the data gathered from parent and teacher surveys conducted in AISSA schools.
