SUMMARY:Whistleblower Protection - The legislation and your policy requirem

DESCRIPTION:From 1 July 2019\, schools which are bodies corporate (companie
 s limited by guarantee\, incorporated associations or body corporates unde
 r any law) are required to observe the provisions of the Corporations Act 
 which relate to whistleblowing.  For large proprietary companies\, there 
 is also a requirement to have a whistleblower policy which applies from 1 
 January 2020.\n\nBy providing a whistleblowing policy\, Schools can feel c
 onfident that they have an effective and compliant mechanism in place so e
 mployees and/or other individuals can feel confident in reporting unethica
 l conduct\, dishonest or illegal activity.\n\n This session will provide 
 an overview of:\n\n 	the legislation\n 	what is whistleblowing and who can
  be a whistleblower\n 	the protections provided to whistleblowers\; and\n 
 	the kind of disclosures that are protected by the legislation\n\n&nbsp\;\
 n\nTarget Group \n\nPrincipals\, Business Managers\, HR Managers.\n\n&nbsp
