  Significant evidence shows the actions of the principal and other members
  of the school leadership team directly influence the wellbeing of the sch
 ool community. Many school staff wellbeing initiatives that address high l
 evels of work-related stress are well-intentioned but often focus only on 
 boosting morale. While this is a useful starting point\, to be effective s
 taff wellbeing strategies need to be embedded in school culture and priori
 tised to ensure they are adequately funded and resourced.\n\nJoin Professo
 r Donna Cross OAM\, respected behavioural scientist and Emeritus Professor
  at the University of Western Australia as she presents two dynamic webina
 rs unpacking quality national and international evidence showing the benef
 its and value of schools actively engaging families in the development of 
 students’ learning and wellbeing. These benefits include students’ hig
 her academic achievement\, increased confidence and motivation\, improved 
 school attendance\, enhanced wellbeing and mental health\, higher likeliho
 od of graduation\, improved positive attitudes about school and improved b
 ehaviour.\n\nThe first one-hour webinar ‘Empowering school staff wellbei
 ng: Strategies for success’ will address systematic evidence-driven stra
 tegies and considerations for improving school staff wellbeing that addres
 s organisational and interpersonal factors\, not just individual coping sk
 ills. It will address the importance of:\n\n 	a holistic approach to all s
 taff wellbeing that includes systemic change\n 	the role of leadership\n 	
 mental health promotion and support\n 	self-care and wellbeing initiatives
  tailored to the needs of staff.\n\nThe second webinar ‘Enhancing school
  staff’s positive engagement with students and families’ will provide 
 a brief overview of evidence-based practical strategies found to improve p
 artnerships and positive engagement with families to support students’ w
 ellbeing\, and therefore achievement.  It will also briefly address actio
 ns that can be taken to support school staff when parent relationships may
