DESCRIPTION:\n\nThe SOUL Learning Blueprint: Teaching for Surface\, Deep an
 d Transfer:  New Teams\n\nThis powerful and internationally regarded prog
 ram provides teachers and leaders with transformative knowledge about the 
 learning process through the trajectory of surface\, to deep-levels of lea
 rning\, and to transfer/adaptive learning. Led by global thinker\, author\
 , academic and educational neuroscientist\, Dr Jared Cooney Horvath\, this
  4-part series will empower schools and teaching teams to consider the lat
 est and most innovative understandings of the learning process and assist 
 them in preparing the next generation of learners in developing key skills
  and mindsets\, including metacognition\, critical thinking and personal a
 gency.  Teachers and leaders will be equipped to design impactful learnin
 g for the varied stages of the Learning Trajectory and to reflect and chal
 lenge thinking on their current educational practices. Dr Horvath’s prov
 ocative insights and knowledge will provide teachers with the most importa
 nt and latest concepts from the field of learning sciences\, challenge thi
 nking around education’s ‘conventional wisdoms’ as well as to delive
 r a practical framework that teachers and schools can use to inform teachi
 ng practice that have direct impact on student outcomes.\n\nWhat you will 
 learn\n\nKey Learning includes:\nSession  1: Foundations of Thinking\, Le
 arning Principles and the Power of Micro-projects\nSession  2: Learning T
 rajectory – Teaching for Surface\, Deep and Transfer in Learning\nSessio
 n  3: How does memory &amp\; attention inform our teaching and the learni
 ng process?\nSession  4: Metacognition\, Stress\, Wellbeing and Relations
 hips\n\nTeaching teams will be invited to conduct short ‘Micro-Projects'
  which can then form the basis of key principles of teaching and learning 
 for schools and can be connected to a range of strategic directions in a s
 chool such as their teacher performance and development processes.  Schoo
 ls will also be invited to be part of a growing national and international
  network of schools building a research base applicable across all context
 s. Individual school conversations (SOUL Chats) with Dr Horvath will also 
 be offered to participating schools to assist in further embedding the wor
 k into school practice.\n\nNew school teams are invited to register their 
 interest for the SOUL Learning Blueprint via this Expression of Interest. 
 This may be a new school or an additional team from a continuing school. 
  Please note\, the program for new school teams is limited to 6 schools i
 n 2023. EOI to close March 17 . The SOUL Continuers Program is now full.\n
 \nJared Cooney Horvath (PhD\, MEd) is a neuroscientist\, educator\, and au
 thor of the best-selling book Stop Talking\, Start Influencing: 12 Insight
 s from Brain Science to Make Your Message Stick and the recently released\
 , 10 Things Schools Get Wrong and How We Can Get Them Right. He has conduc
 ted research and lectured at Harvard University\, Harvard Medical School\,
  the University of Melbourne\, presented for AITSL\, ISV\, AISNSW and over
  150 schools internationally. He currently serves as Director of LME Globa
 l: a team dedicated to bringing the latest brain and behavioural research 
 to teachers\, students\, and parents alike.\n\nFor further information abo

 m (Zoom/AISSA)\n\n2023 cost\nThe cost to participate in this Project is $
 715.00 excluding GST per person in 2023. This fee is invoiced after the f
 irst event and is payable even if you do not attend as the AISSA will stil
 l incur costs. If notice of cancellation is received 7 or more business da
 ys prior to the first session the fee will be waived.\n\nParticipation\nTh
 e viability of this project is subject to a minimum amount of school teams
  participating. Your team members can be forwarded to the AISSA closer to
