SUMMARY:Teacher Certification Workshop B: Professional Writing Requirements
and Evidence of Impact (Semester 2)
DESCRIPTION:The AISSA provides support and professional learning for
teachers in Independent Schools in SA who are seeking to become certified
as a Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher (HALT) and have their
Principal’s support to do so.  Certification is a national process and
uses the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) as a basis
for certifying teachers at the Highly Accomplished (HA) or Lead career
stages.\n\nFor further information and resources please go to these
 websites:  AITSL Certification  and AISSA
Certification.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nTarget Group\n\nTeachers who are working at or
towards the Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher (HALT) career stage of the
Australian Professional Standards for Teachers (APST) who have the support
and approval of their Principal.  Collecting and collating the evidence
of your impact for the Stage 1 application usually takes one to two
years.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nWorkshop B: Professional Writing Requirements and
Evidence of Impact\n\n Certification requires a deep reflection on your
teaching practice and an evaluative mindset to explore the impact of your
professional practice on colleagues and students and to collect relevant
evidence and articulate its alignment to the APST.\n The professional
writing requirements of the process are significant and require a targeted
approach. Applicants will engage in writing annotations and aligning their
evidence to the descriptors.\n This workshop will also explore the role
and requirements of referees in the certification process.\n\nThis workshop
series is free for applicants\, but the cost of certification is $1825
(paid in stages).  The three workshop series is offered each semester and
must be completed in the correct sequence and within two years. Applicants
must have the support of their Principal to apply for
certification.\n\nThere is no on-site parking available.  For parking
options please refer to the parking map.  Tram stop #1 Greenhill Road is a
6-minute walk away.\n\nFor registration enquiries please contact Alison
Hollis.\nIMPORTANT NOTICE: \nDue to current COVID-19 restrictions the
AISSA is required to enforce set limits on the number of attendees for
this event based on social distancing and maximum density rules.  To
secure your place please complete the registration as attendance at the
AISSA office without a confirmed place may result in being turned
