SUMMARY:Supporting Language Development in the Early and Junior Years\, ses
 sion 2
DESCRIPTION:Oral language\, phonological awareness and print awareness are 
 the foundations upon which literacy is built.  For some students with a l
 anguage disability\, difficulty\, or delay\, their access to the curriculu
 m may be impacted. This series of two\, three-hour workshops will equip sc
 hool and ELC leaders and teachers to:\n\n 	further develop knowledge of ty
 pical and non-typical early literacy and language development\n 	identify 
 the literacy and language proficiencies\, needs and development of all stu
 dents\, particularly those with communication difficulties\n 	consider eff
 ective and proactive planning and teaching strategies and environments\n 	
 monitor and respond to student progress\n 	develop and use rubrics support
 ing an intentional language focus for students with diverse communication 
 needs within the Australian Curriculum and Early Years Learning Framework.
