SUMMARY:Supporting Language Development in the Early and Junior Years\, ses

DESCRIPTION:The first session in this series (8 April) has been rescheduled
  to take place in Term 2 - date to be confirmed.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nOral langua
 ge\, phonological awareness and print awareness are the foundations upon w
 hich literacy is built.  For some students with a language disability\, d
 ifficulty\, or delay\, their access to the curriculum may be impacted. Thi
 s series of two\, three-hour workshops will equip school and ELC leaders a
 nd teachers to:\n\n 	further develop knowledge of typical and non-typical 
 early literacy and language development\n 	identify the literacy and langu
 age proficiencies\, needs and development of all students\, particularly t
 hose with communication difficulties\n 	consider effective and proactive p
 lanning and teaching strategies and environments\n 	monitor and respond to
  student progress\n 	develop and use rubrics supporting intentional langua
 ge focus for students with diverse communication needs within the Australi
 an Curriculum and Early Years Learning Framework.\n\nSessions in this seri
