SUMMARY:Supporting Language Development in the Early and Junior Years\,
 session 1
DESCRIPTION:The first session in this series (8 April) has been rescheduled
 to take place in Term 2 - date to be confirmed.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nOral
 language\, phonological awareness and print awareness are the foundations
 upon which literacy is built.  For some students with a language
 disability\, difficulty\, or delay\, their access to the curriculum may be
 impacted. This series of two\, three-hour workshops will equip school and
 ELC leaders and teachers to:\n\n 	further develop knowledge of typical and
 non-typical early literacy and language development\n 	identify the
 literacy and language proficiencies\, needs and development of all
 students\, particularly those with communication difficulties\n 	consider
 effective and proactive planning and teaching strategies and environments\n
 	monitor and respond to student progress\n 	develop and use rubrics
 supporting intentional language focus for students with diverse
 communication needs within the Australian Curriculum and Early Years
 Learning Framework.\n\nSessions in this series:\n\nTerm 2\, 9.00 am –
 12.00 pm (date to be confirmed - rescheduled from 8 April)\n24 June\, 9.00
