SUMMARY:Positive Behaviour Support: Prevention and Intervention\, day 1 of 
 2
DESCRIPTION:Day 1: This full day workshop\, hosted by the AISSA and present
 ed by external psychologists Kerry Burke &amp\; Lisa Chisholm\, will explo
 re student behaviour through a developmental lens.  The workshop will foc
 us on:\n\n 	social and emotional development\, particularly in school-age 
 years\n 	effects of trauma and adverse life events\n 	supportive classroom
  practice and strategies for both typically developing students and those 
 requiring additional supports\n\n \n\nDay 2: This full day workshop will 
 be provided to teachers and school leaders\, focusing on fostering proacti
 ve\, positive behaviour strategies and supports within schools from the ev
 eryday classroom through to intervention.  The workshop will consider pra
 ctical actions and responses in the educational setting\, with considerati
 on to the learning from Day 1 in the series.  Topics covered include:\n\n
  	positive behaviour support\n 	response to intervention\n 	functional beh
 aviour analysis\n 	individual behaviour support plans.\n\nParticipants wil
 l increase their capacity to understand and apply current research and evi
 dence-based strategies in a contextualized manner\, proactively supporting
  positive behaviours.\n\n \n\nRegistration for this two-day series will i
 ncur a fee of $100 plus GST per participant.  Participants are required t
 o register for all sessions in the series and may not attend single days:\
 n\nDay 1: Thursday 27 February 2020\nDay 2: Friday 26 June 2020\n\n&nbsp\;
 \n\nTarget Group \n\nLeaders and teachers facilitating positive behaviour 
 in both classroom and whole-school contexts.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThere is no on-
