Topics covered include:\n\n a general overview of language development in school-age students\n overview and u se of the Australian Curriculum’s EAL/D Progression in determining langu age proficiency and monitoring language learning (with a focus on the Writ ing mode for the purposes of the session)\n use of the Australian Curricu lum’s EAL/D resources to support planning for effective and inclusive pr actice.\n\n \;\n\nParticipants are requested to bring:\n\n two de-ide ntified writing samples (the same task) reflecting a genre or writing task they would commonly teach.
