SUMMARY:OSHC Directors and Educators’ Network\, Term 2 meeting
DESCRIPTION:The OSHC Educators’ Network is structured for OSHC leaders
 and educators from AISSA member schools to engage collaboratively in ways
 which invigorate and enrich practice. It provides a forum for provocation
 and discussion and facilitates a community of practice approach to ongoing
 professional learning. Implementing the My Time Our Place Framework and the
 National Quality Standard\, participants will have the opportunity to
 engage in rich group discussions relating to current research on
 educational theories and practices\, focused topics and other questions and
 issues raised.\n\nThese four workshops will provide information relating to
 relevant and current issues including regulatory requirements\, assessment
 and rating processes\, the Quality Improvement Plan and the implementation
 of My Time Our Place.\n\nNature Play will be the lens to build skills and
 understandings in particular focus areas including:\n\n 	critical
 reflection\n 	inclusion\n 	responding to and managing challenging
 behaviours\n 	engagement with families and communities.\n\nNature Play
 Project 2022: seasonal opportunities for learning outside of the school
 day\n\nEach participant will be supported to develop a project that
 reflects the current needs of their service\, children and community. This
 may include\, but is not limited to\, sustainability\, wellbeing\, STEM in
 nature and seasonal affordances for nature connection.\n\nEach session will
 include theory and current understandings about children’s development
 and nature play and the importance of a nature connection. There will be a
 focus on developing competency and understandings in the use of natural
 resources in all elements of the service. A showcase of practical
 activities and how to set up for success will also feature in these
 sessions to explore:\n\n 	cubby building\n 	small worlds\n 	weaving\n
 	risky play\n 	storytelling\n 	loose parts play\n 	sustainable art.\n\n2022
