 ertification (NTC) is a voluntary\, portable and transparent process that 
 provides formal recognition of exemplary teachers\, enhances the professio
 nalism of teachers and enables them to progress their career while remaini
 ng in the classroom. It is a rigorous and deeply reflective\, but highly v
 alued and worthwhile process. Many schools are now recognising certified t
 eachers in their Enterprise Agreement.\n\nNational Teacher Certification a
 s a Highly Accomplished or Lead Teacher (HALT):\n\n 	recognises and promot
 es quality teaching\n 	provides an opportunity for teachers to reflect on 
 their practice and receive robust feedback\n 	supports teachers to identif
 y the impact they have on colleagues and student outcomes\n 	provides a re
 liable indication of quality teaching to support professional growth and r
 ecognise high performing teachers and\n 	is transferable to any Australian
  state/sector/school that supports NTC.\n\nThe SA Teacher Certification Co
 mmittee (SATCC) oversees NTC in SA and the AISSA collaborates with the Dep
 artment for Education and Catholic Education SA to ensure consistency and 
 quality assurance for all SA educators who undertake NTC.\n\nThe AISSA\n\n
  	facilitates the assessment of all HALT applications from independent sch
 ools in SA and\n 	provides information and professional learning to assist
  applicants to understand the requirements of the certification process an
 d the roles and responsibilities of those involved.\n\nA series of three w
 orkshops is offered each semester to support applicants to understand cert
 ification: eligibility\, suitability\, how to collect\, curate and annotat
 e evidence of practice at the Highly Accomplished or Lead career stages in
  the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers and align their classr
 oom practice against the Classroom Practice Continuum.\n\nWorkshop A: onli

 o face\, 9:00am – 3:00pm\nWorkshop C: face to face\, 9:00am – 3:00pm\n
 \nIn 2023\, a trial of a Modular Approach to the Stage 1 submission will b
 e offered to all applicants as an option.\n\nSemester 1 cohort - BOOKINGS

 n of Interest which will also provide registration for the workshops. Due 
 dates for the Expression of Interest are:\n\n 	Semester 1 cohort: Friday 2
 4 February 2023\n 	Semester 2 cohort: Friday 28 July 2023\n\n\n 	complete 
 all three workshops in sequence preferably in the one semester\, or within
  a 12-month timeframe\n\nTotal cost for applying for certification in 2023
  is $1825 – paid in instalments by the school or the applicant.\n\n 	$22
