A project for instructional leaders of learning in primary contexts and Heads of Faculties and specialists secondary educators.
This project is designed for leaders of learning who are focussed on driving improved educational practice across their school through a focus on evidence informed practices and their implementation.
Participating schools will be supported in developing in-school and cross-school professional teams centred on:
- building teacher expertise in designing quality assessments aligned to the Achievement Standards of the Australian Curriculum
- collaborative moderation practices to enable a shared understanding of what student achievement looks like across a learning area.
There is an expectation that participating schools will collaboratively interrogate evidence to validate judgements about student learning on two levels:
- across schools through professional dialogue with colleagues
- within each school.
A commitment to this project includes attendance at all professional learning workshops, developing a common assessment criteria as a group and collecting evidence of student learning to collaboratively moderate within workshop 3 and 4.
Instructional teams of leaders and educators across Foundation to Year 10.
Primary and Secondary specialist educators are encouraged to attend with at least one colleague who also teaches the same learning area to facilitate professional dialogue and collaborative moderation practices.
Registration for this four-day series will incur a fee of $200.00 plus GST per school. Participants are required to register for all sessions in the series and may not attend single days:
