DESCRIPTION:The Gifted Education Research Resource and Information Centre
 ’s Mini-COGE course provides practical professional development for educ
 ators to support high potential and gifted students. High potential studen
 ts are not necessarily high achievers\, and this course will focus on stra
 tegies to engage and support these students to reach their potential.\n\nT
 he Mini-COGE will help educators to:\n\n 	identify gifted\, high potential
  and talented students\n 	differentiate the curriculum for high potential 
 students\n 	implement ability grouping or acceleration\n 	understand gifte
 d education research and best practices and\n 	develop an existing (or cre
 ate a new) unit of work to best suit the needs of the differentiated class
