SUMMARY:Mathematics (AC v.9) Professional Learning with Tierney Kennedy
DESCRIPTION:Tierney Kennedy will be providing two free professional learnin
 g sessions for F-8 school leaders and teachers on the major changes in the
  revised Australian Curriculum v.9 Mathematics and their implications for 
 teaching\, learning and assessment.\n\nThese sessions will include informa
 tion on:\n\n 	Content and process shifts for each year level\, in jargon-f
 ree language\n 	Using the AC9 achievement standard and A-E grading support
  for each year level\n 	Setting your school up for success including train
 ing sessions to run with your teachers\, predicting difficulties\, priorit
 ising changes and how to start simply\n\nLeaders and teachers will take aw
 ay:\n\n 	Content changes “At a Glance” for each year level\n 	“Conte
 nt\, Process and Models” analytical tool to use in staff training sessio
 ns\n 	Proficiency processes “At a Glance” as they appear in the achiev
 ement standard for each year level\n 	Adaptable A-E assessment criteria fo
 r each year level as well as sample reporting comments in parent-friendly 
 language\n 	A suggested year-long developmental sequence with AC9 content 
 descriptors for each term so that each year level covers similar concepts 
 at the same time\n 	Access to videos\, lesson plans and sample assessment 
 items for all your teachers for the remainder of 2024 to make your transit
 ion easier\n\nTierney Kennedy bio: Tierney is a data improvement specialis
 t\, seeing patterns in a wide variety of data sets and helping schools to 
 target areas of need. She works with Curriculum Leaders and experienced te
 achers to tailor learning to staff needs and shift whole-school pedagogy. 
 Tierney loves tackling tough questions and always encourages both principa
 ls and teachers to directly raise issues at the start of each Professional
  Learning session. Tierney is most experienced in working with upper prima
 ry and junior secondary teachers\, including demonstrating lessons\, diagn
 osing misconceptions and developing targeted strategies based on student n
