SUMMARY:Legal Series: Protective Practices and Managing an Allegation in
 the Community
DESCRIPTION:The overarching principle in responding to any allegation of
 a  breach of child protection is to ensure the safety\, welfare and
 wellbeing of any child who may be at risk of harm. Schools must investigate
 all allegations against any member of their community according to the
 following principles:\n\n 	procedural fairness\n 	privacy and
 confidentiality\n 	integrity\n 	timeliness.\n\nThis session will assist
 schools to understand their rights and obligations regarding managing
 allegations of breaches of protective practices.\n\nPresented by Sonia
 Albertini\, Head of Legal Services\, AISSA.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIMPORTANT
 NOTICE: \n\nDue to current COVID-19 restrictions the AISSA is required
 to enforce set limits on the number of attendees for this event based on
 social distancing and maximum density rules.  To secure your place please

 confirmed place may result in being turned away if the event is at
