SUMMARY:Leading for High Impact School Improvement: Building Evaluative
 Capacity\, session 2
DESCRIPTION:School improvement is a moral imperative because children are
entitled to the best education we can provide in order to fully realise
their unique potential.\n\nEmbarking on a school improvement journey
requires a passionate desire on the part of leadership to improve teaching
and learning which must be underpinned by careful planning if improvement
is to be achieved. School Principals and school leaders must embrace and be
prepared to drive the improvement process.\n\nIn 2022\, the AISSA is
offering a high impact school improvement program designed to support
Principals and their leadership teams to undertake a structured process of
school evaluation and review. Using the AISSA High Impact School
Improvement Tool\, consultants will support school teams to undertake a
self-evaluation in one of the seven domains of the Tool to enable them to
design and deliver a pathway forward and measure impact.\n\nThis is a
one-year program. It will comprise face to face workshops and in-school
support. The work will culminate in a validation experience where an expert
panel will be presented with the school’s work\, consider the progress
made and provide suggestions for next steps.\n\nSchool leadership teams are
strongly encouraged to participate in a process which will build the
individual school’s capacity for evaluation and improvement and
strengthen school -based practices for planning\, implementation and
evaluation.\n\nIt is anticipated this program will build the professional
capital of the Independent sector and lead to the enrichment of the School
Improvement Tool as schools provide case studies recording the diversity of
the improvement processes undertaken.\n\nSessions in the series:\n26 May\,
 9.00 am – 3.30 pm\n21 September\, 9.00 am – 3.30 pm\n16 November\, 9.00
 am – 3.30 pm\nTarget audience – school leadership teams\n\nDelivery
mode – face to face\n\nPresenters – the AISSA Senior Educational
Consultant team.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nSchool teams have been identified for 2022.
