Leading Curriculum Change in the Senior Secondary Years: SCRG+ (Session 1)

8th April, 2020 @ 2:00 pm

08/04/2020 - 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm

In response to the evolving SACE curriculum in the secondary years, the AISSA is providing SCRG leaders with an opportunity to strengthen their expertise in leadership and change management as they consider specific curriculum issues. Leaders will work collaboratively to grapple with issues and challenges in this context.

SCRG+ will provide current and new SCRG leaders with the opportunity to deepen their engagement with key features of the renewed SACE using the lens of leadership, change, implementation and impact evaluation.

The purpose of the program is to provide participants with practical knowledge to work through strategies and challenges while engaging with current educational leadership and change research.  Leaders will be invited to consider a key issue or change priority specific to this context and will be assisted in exploring solutions for implementation. Evaluating the impact of these solutions will be a part of the network agenda.

To assist in this work, participants will access a range of leadership, curriculum and learning experts both in the SCRG meetings and at specific SCRG+ sessions. This network seeks to build participants’ capability to navigate the complexity of leadership in the increasingly complex SACE landscape, while being responsive to specific school’s needs and contexts.

SCRG+ sessions will be an extension of some SCRG meetings with another two full days provided across the year engaging with key experts and presenters. The introduction meeting (2 March 2020) will provide opportunities for participants to negotiate key dates and inform course content.

Participants are required to register for all sessions in the series and may not attend single days:
