SUMMARY:Leading Change in the Teaching of Primary English
DESCRIPTION:Re-designed for a term 2 start!\n\nThis series is centred on
 building individual and social capital as a leader of English in a primary
 school setting. These half day workshops will be held once in terms 2\,3\,
 and 4 and will engage Learning Leaders in practice exchange and stimulating
 professional dialogue about current and emerging best practices related to
 English learning\, teaching and assessment. A highlight of these workshops
 will be hearing from guest presenters about approaches to teaching English
 in the primary setting.\n\nDialogue and collective inquiry will focus
 on:\n\n 	Current English educational research and initiatives\n
 	Interpreting and understanding the English curriculum\n 	English teaching
 and learning – planning and assessment\n 	Sharing of classroom practice
 and English initiatives\n 	Open discussion\n\nIn term 2 our guest presenter
 is Deb McKay.\n\nDeb’s presentation will focus on developing impactful
 classroom practice through the utilisation of research-based pedagogies
 including Understanding by Design and Cognitive Science. Deb will model how
 these pedagogies can be used to plan\, implement and assess impactful
 writing lessons.\n\nThis is a series. By registering you are committing to
