SUMMARY:Leading Change in the Teaching of Literacy
DESCRIPTION:Literacy is everybody's business! A familiar statement? UNESCO
 views acquiring and improving literacy skills throughout life as an
 intrinsic part of the right to education and the 'multiplier effect' of
 literacy empowering people. Building strong literacy foundations and
 continuing to develop literacy knowledge and skills throughout all stages
 of schooling\, and for all students\, is essential if students are to be
 lifelong learners.\n\nWhat instructional literacy practices have a positive
 impact on learners’ literacy development? What instructional literacy
 practices support the development of literacy knowledge and skills across
 the different stages of schooling?\n\nThe focus of this program is on
 research-based instructional literacy practices within the context of
 classroom practice.\n\nThis is a series. By registering you are committing
 to attending the following sessions:\n\nPart A: 30 March\, 1.00pm to
