DESCRIPTION:The misuse of social media can trigger legal consequences under
  a range of different laws. Making offensive public posts about a person c
 ould constitute defamation or online bullying. Schools should create compr
 ehensive yet easily understood policies for students\, teachers and parent
 s to ensure that all concerned understand the school’s position on the u
 se of social media and the consequences where it is used in breach of a po
