SUMMARY:Financial Management for School Leaders
DESCRIPTION:The session is designed for those school leaders who have minim
 al financial training or knowledge. It will focus on what leaders need to 
 know\, what to look out for\, financial performance indicators and underst
 anding budgets. This session aims to build the capacity of leaders to bett
 er understand school financials and will address basic theory and concepts
  and the importance of school context in effective financial management.\n
 \nPaul Campey is a Chartered Accountant (Fellow) and specialist consultant
  in the areas of governance\, leadership and financial management. Paul ha
 s undertaken reviews and assisted schools\, churches and not for profits i
 n Australia and internationally as well as running board and other trainin
 g seminars. He is the cofounder of The Bursars’ Forum (www.bursarsforum.
 com) and currently serves on the ACSI Global Council and the Board of Chri
 stian Heritage College (Tertiary). He has previously served on several loc
 al and international boards. Paul has also co-authored the book Community 
 Governance\, a practical guide to building healthy non-profit organisation
 s. Prior to entering consulting in 2001\, he was a Business Manager and Co
 mpany Secretary in two large independent schools and was also an auditor f
 or seven years with Coopers and Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers). Pa
 ul is currently undertaking a PhD focused on School Governance.\n\nAudienc
