 e key attributes of a financially sustainable school and include a sho
 rt accounting lesson for non-accountants. Designed for School Governors\,
  new Principals and Business Managers\, the content presented aligns w
 ith the Standards for School Registration in South Australia\, namely S
 tandard 1.4 - ensuring the ongoing financial viability of the school an
 d reporting on the school’s financial performance. \n\nKey financial ra
 tios that school leaders and governors should understand to enable the
 m to assess the school’s financial health will be highlighted. The s
 ession will include a practical exercise focused on calculating and revie
 wing key ratios and how to apply these ratios in long term budgets to ma
 nage/mitigate financial risk and prevent financial stress and provide a
 ctionable outcomes for the school. \n\nLed by John Somerset\, Director of
  Somerset Education\, the session will draw on John’s 38 years in chart
 ered accounting and expertise in financial governance for non-government
  schools. His mission is to empower schools with financial confidence and
