SUMMARY:Effective Assessment in an Evolving Curriculum Landscape\, workshop

DESCRIPTION:Effective assessment practices and moderation are crucial “in
 promoting more consistent and valid teacher judgements about students’
 work particularly when aligned with standards and criteria. (Scott\,
 2016)\n\nThis professional learning opportunity invites Foundation to Year
 10 leaders and teachers to strengthen their current assessment practices
 using the Achievement Standards to confirm teacher professional judgements
 against those standards.  This learning will draw on input from expert
 assessment researchers to engage with contemporary assessment issues
 emerging in the current education landscape.  Focus areas will
 include:\n\n 	Quality task design and the power of its alignment to
 learning and teaching cycles\n 	Effective feedback and annotations\n
 	Effective moderation processes that enhance consistency in teacher
 judgement\n 	Exploring quality evidence of student learning in an evolving
 curriculum landscape\n 	Opportunities to engage in collaborative
 moderation\n\nPrimary and Secondary specialist educators are encouraged to
 attend with at least one colleague who also teaches the same learning area
 to facilitate professional dialogue\, consistency of judgement making and
 collaborative moderation practices.\n\nView the program

 to face)\nImpact hubs: negotiated with schools\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nRegional and
 remote leaders and teachers interested in this program whose participation
 may be limited due to distance may negotiate bespoke engagement. Please

 options.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nIMPORTANT NOTICE: \n\nTo meet SA’s COVID-19
 restrictions the AISSA must enforce set limits on the number of attendees
 for this event based on current social distancing and density rules.  To
 secure your place please complete the registration as attendance without a
 confirmed booking may result in being turned away if the event is at
 capacity.  Visitors to the AISSA office must wear a mask in circumstances
 where you cannot maintain a 1.5m physical distance from others onsite\,
 unless you have a lawful exemption.  You may remove your mask for food and
 drink consumption only.\n\nThere is no on-site parking available.  For
