DESCRIPTION:In light of the evolving Curriculum landscape with regard to th
 e Australian Curriculum review\, the dates for this course are now:\n\nWor
 kshop 1: Wednesday 1 September 2021\, 9.00 am-12.30 pm (via Zoom)\nWorksho
 p 2a: (Years 7-10)\, Friday 29 October 2021\, 9.00 am -12.30 pm (face to f
 ace)\nWorkshop 2b: (Primary)\, Wednesday 3 November 2021\, 9.30 am - 3.30 
 pm (face to face)\n\nEffective assessment practices and moderation are cru
 cial “in promoting more consistent and valid teacher judgements about st
 udents’ work particularly when aligned with standards and criteria. (Sco
 tt\, 2016)\n\nThis professional learning opportunity invites Foundation to
  Year 10 leaders and teachers to strengthen their current assessment pract
 ices using the Achievement Standards to confirm teacher professional judge
 ments against those standards.  This learning will draw on input from ex
 pert assessment researchers to engage with contemporary assessment issues 
 emerging in the current education landscape.  Focus areas will include:\
 n\n 	Quality task design and the power of its alignment to learning and te
 aching cycles\n 	Effective feedback and annotations\n 	Effective moderatio
 n processes that enhance consistency in teacher judgement\n 	Exploring qua
 lity evidence of student learning in an evolving curriculum landscape\n 	O
 pportunities to engage in collaborative moderation\n\nPrimary and Secondar
 y specialist educators are encouraged to attend with at least one colleagu
 e who also teaches the same learning area to facilitate professional dialo
 gue\, consistency of judgement making and collaborative moderation practic
