Date/Time:

Description:

Recommended for: Early Childhood and Foundation Leaders, Teachers and Educators

Meeting Focus
A fragmented day, from a child’s perspective. ‘Among the rights of children and in particular the very small ones there is the right to live and be in situations in which it is possible to build long lasting, constant relationships.’ Re-Imagining Childhood Report Carla Rinaldi 2013

Scope of Session
In this collaborative and thought provoking session participants will think deeply and engage with colleagues about the impact the fragmentation of early childhood services can have on young children. This provocation presented by Carla Rinaldi in Re-Imaging Childhood will be viewed from a child’s perspective. A child who is the possessor and a constructor of rights.

With fragmentation as the lens, participants will consider their own early learning environments in relation to:

  • Rituals, rhythms and transitions
  • Identity
  • Relationships
  • Engagement
  • Wellbeing
  • Community
