Exploring the building blocks of number – and creating mat hematically rich learning environments\n\nIn the second half of the sessio n participants will engage in a professional dialogue with Desiree Gilbert (Senior Educational Consultant at AISSA) focussed on numeracy and mathema tics in the early years learning environment. Specifically\, we will explo re concepts of matching\, comparing\, sorting and ordering as the building blocks for developing deep number understanding and as essential first st eps in supporting students to become successful and confident mathematicia ns.
