DESCRIPTION:&nbsp\;\nFocus\n1. Reflections - Early Years Language and Liter
 acy Development: Providing Optimal Opportunity for Growth event on 12 Augu
 st 2020\n\nIn the first part of the session educators who attended this ev
 ent (presented by speech pathologist Stephi West) will reflect upon some o
 f the key messages that Stephi shared during the session with particular a
 ttention to:\n\n 	further develop knowledge of early literacy and language
  development\n 	identify the literacy and language proficiencies\, needs a
 nd development of students\n 	consider effective and proactive planning an
 d teaching strategies and environments\n 	monitor and respond to student p
 rogress\n\n2. Exploring the building blocks of number – and creating mat
 hematically rich learning environments\n\nIn the second half of the sessio
 n participants will engage in a professional dialogue with Desiree Gilbert
  (Senior Educational Consultant at AISSA) focussed on numeracy and mathema
 tics in the early years learning environment. Specifically\, we will explo
 re concepts of matching\, comparing\, sorting and ordering as the building
  blocks for developing deep number understanding and as essential first st
 eps in supporting students to become successful and confident mathematicia
 ns. There will be opportunity to pose questions and share practices with c
 olleagues as Desiree leads thought provoking conversations about what is p
 ossible when planning authentic learning environments that are mathematica
 lly rich and purposeful.\n\nTarget Group\n\nEarly Childhood and Foundation
  Leaders\, Teachers and Educators.\n\n&nbsp\;\nIMPORTANT NOTICE: \nDue to
