Constructs for Pedagogical Improvement day 1 of 2
29th March, 2019 @ 9:30 am
Date/Time:
29/03/2019 - 9:30 am - 3:30 pm
Description:
This opportunity is designed for instructional leaders of learning and teams of their teachers who are committed to pedagogical improvement across their school.
A two-day introductory workshop will engage participants in four constructs – Engaging in Learning Design to Enrich and Extend Practice; the Australian Curriculum General Capabilities; the National Literacy and Numeracy Learning Progressions; and Assessment and Task Design at the Heart of Learning and Teaching.
Schools will then select one of these constructs to explore, implement and embed as a pedagogical pathway for improvement within the context of their own school. Please refer to the diagram.
A commitment to this project includes attendance at professional learning, impact hubs and undertaking action to reshape pedagogy and the learning environment. Impact hubs, as communities of practice, facilitate the sharing of expertise and opportunities to provide feedback and consider ways forward.
