When Casual Employment Becomes a Full Time Problem
6th August, 2019 @ 4:00 pm
Date/Time:
06/08/2019 - 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm
Description:
Whether an employee is classified as casual or permanent has a significant impact on employee entitlements such as annual and personal leave, notice of termination, redundancy pay and public holidays. However, the description of an employee as a casual and the payment of a casual loading will not necessarily mean that an employee is in fact a casual. This session will examine the impact of the recent Skene v Workpac decision and its implications for Schools who employ casuals with regular hours of work.
