SUMMARY:Bushfire Preparedness for Schools 2021
DESCRIPTION:In Australia we are aware of the profound impact bushfires have
 on our community and it is essential for school leaders to understand how
 they can prepare and respond to a bushfire crisis. This is particularly
 pertinent to those who live or teach in high-risk bushfire areas\;
 however\, everyone has a responsibility to respond to the needs of their
 learning community and practice self-care.\n\nWhilst the physical impact of
 a bushfire is obvious\, the mental health impact may not be\, and will be
 experienced differently by people. Knowing how to look after yourself and
 others is important for minimising impact\, coping and recovery.\n\nThis
 session offers school leaders high quality information about bushfire
 behaviour\, safety and where to seek help. Participants will discuss and
 develop and/or review their Bushfire Action Plan and explore how to be
 practically and psychologically prepared\, using real life scenarios.\n\nBe
 You and the South Australian Country Fire Service (CFS) will
