SUMMARY:An Education Worth Having: Supporting First Nations Students to Nav
 igate the Senior Secondary Years of Schooling
DESCRIPTION:In 2023 AISSA is offering an improvement program which will exp
 lore how schools can best support First Nations students to successfully n
 avigate the senior secondary years of schooling. The program will enable s
 chools to undertake a structured process of evaluation and bring together 
 the collective knowledge of the sector and community to design and develop
  pathways forward and measure impact.\n\nAreas for exploration include:\n\
 n 	supporting First Nations students to transition into the senior seconda
 ry years of schooling\n 	drawing on cultural knowledge and competency to d
 emonstrate learning\n 	successful approaches to SACE attainment\n 	explori
 ng pathways for First Nations students\n 	gaining a deeper understanding o
 f student support strategies\n 	SACE Board Aboriginal education strategies
  and\n 	enhancing cultural competence in the teaching workforce.\n\nIt is 
 anticipated that this program will build the professional capital of the i
 ndependent sector and lead to the development of case studies to be includ
 ed on the AISSA website. This program will comprise three face-to-face wor
 kshops with in-school follow up support.\n\nThis is a series. By registeri
