SUMMARY:An Education Worth Having: Supporting First Nations Primary and Sec
 ondary Students
DESCRIPTION:We invite educators to join our transformative professional lea
 rning workshop series dedicated to empowering schools in their mission to 
 support First Nations students as they navigate the Primary and Secondary 
 years of schooling. This program supported by Kaurna Elder\, Aunty Elaine 
 Magias\, is designed to equip educators with the knowledge\, tools and str
 ategies needed to foster success among First Nations students and create a
  culturally inclusive learning environment.\n\nThis workshop series will g
 uide educators and support staff through a process of evaluation and co-de
 sign to harness the collective wisdom of the education sector and communit
 y. Participants will explore a range of critical areas including:\n\n 	Sup
 porting Smooth Transitions: learn effective strategies for helping First N
 ations students and their families to transition through the various stage
 s of the Primary and Secondary years.\n 	Cultural Knowledge Integration: d
 iscover how to draw on cultural knowledge and competency to enhance studen
 t learning experiences\, fostering a deeper understanding of Indigenous cu
 ltures and histories.\n 	Effective Student Support Strategies: gain insigh
 ts into evidence-based student support strategies that can have a signific
 ant impact on the academic and personal development of First Nations stude
 nts.\n 	Cultural Competence Enhancement: enhance your cultural competence 
 as an educator to create an inclusive and respectful environment for all s
