SUMMARY:Access and Belonging: Best Practice within the Disability Standards
  for Education (DSE) and Nationally Consistent Collection of Data (NCCD)
DESCRIPTION:Successful engagement with the practical and legislative aspect
 s of the Disability Standards for Education (DSE) and Nationally Consisten
 t Collection of Data (NCCD) relies upon best practice in the field of incl
 usion of students with disability. These workshops intend to build staff c
 apacity to effectively and appropriately facilitate the inclusion of stude
 nts with diverse needs in their school contexts.\n\nOver two full day sess
 ions and one Zoom session\, and with the support of Inclusion Consultant L
 oren Swancutt\, inclusion leaders will consider how relevant school struct
 ures and practices may best underpin and ensure intentional planning\, con
 sultation and documentation. They will engage with new and emerging themes
  and practices\, be supported to review practice and plan for improvement\
 , and build capacity to lead staff in best practice.\n\nIn 2023\, workshop
 s will provide opportunity to engage in the following areas:\n\n 	designin
 g and improving clear\, supportive and fit-for-purpose documentation\n 	in
 creasing clarity in planning and recording of adjustments\n 	proactive app
 roaches to selecting and maintaining evidence of adjustments and\n 	facili
 tating positive and collaborative consultation.\n\nThis is a series. By re
